Anières Program New Academic Year Opening Event
On December 9th, the Anières Program hosted its annual New Academic Year Opening Event, bringing together founders, distinguished guests, and students who share a passion for excellence and a commitment to shaping a brighter future. This gathering marked the beginning of another promising academic year.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Marc Hamon, founder of the Anières Program, whose vision continues to inspire and guide the program’s mission. Joining him was co-founder Mr. Robert Singer, whose invaluable contributions have been instrumental in the program’s success. The Anières Program’s executive director and president of the Anières Alumni Association in Geneva, Mr. Jacques Levy, also graced the occasion, representing the program’s enduring legacy.
In her opening remarks, the program’s manager, Mrs. Ira Lotman, reflected on the challenges the Anières community has faced in recent months due to the war in Israel. She commended the resilience and determination of the students in navigating these difficult times. Echoing her sentiments, Marc, Robert, and Jacques praised the students for their unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation, despite the obstacles.
A highlight of the event was the keynote address by Dr. Ronen Dar, a successful entrepreneur and founder of the startup company Run:AI, who shared his journey from academia to the tech industry, emphasizing the importance of adaptability, hard work, and building meaningful connections with potential partners.
In the closing speech, the program’s manager reminded the students of our everlasting commitment to providing them with the best resources and support so they will be able to thrive in the ever-evolving world of innovative science and technology.
